Brigitte McCauley – Hummingbird Hill Native Plant Nursery
Hummingbird Hill Native Plant Nursery is an organization dedicated to recovering local ecosystems by strengthening native plant populations. We specialize in growing locally native plants for habitat settings that support birds, pollinators, and other wildlife. All of our plants are propagated from ethically collected local wild seed and grown using organic methods and no sprays. Our nursery grows a wide variety of native plants from local genotypes, including perennials, annuals, vines, shrubs, and trees.

Daniel Strumlauf Masonry
Daniel Strumlauf is a Charlottesville native with a lifelong interest in architecture and landscape. Much of his free time is spent hiking and gardening. He has a passion for the intersection of geology and biology, which leads him to spend a lot of time looking at rocks and microbes under a microscope. Daniel started the masonry business in 2002. He specializes in traditional stone masonry and stone landscaping. Excavation and grading are large parts of the landscape work that he does. The majority of his work is on walls, patios, paths, restoration, chimneys, and excavation. Drainage and regrading are common aspects of the masonry restoration projects. The structural masonry includes saw-cut, profiled, and polished details, as well as chiseled and natural stone.
